Vibration at high speeds
« on: May 28, 2017, 03:49:36 AM »
Hi, I'm a new owner of a 2014 like 200i with only 400 miles on it. I noticed my handle bars have a fair amount of vibration once I reach 50 mph. Is this what everyone else is experiencing at that speed? Thanks

Which tires (brand, model, size, age) are installed? Are these tires properly balanced?

Cheers,
Robo

Vibrating too much on a smooth road?
Kymco does not add balance weights to LIKE wheels....so you will get some roughness from pretty much any unbalanced brand of tire , maybe especially from the inexpensive  Kenda tires on your scooter.
Running proper front tire air pressure  can help smooth things out....but if really unsettling amount of vibration on your new LIKE....have dealer check ride (under warranty?), or get wheel balanced....or consider that Scooter is telling you that 50mph is plenty fast enough for this little scooter!?
Check PSI in tire, check for play in handlebar/steering head bearing, front wheel mounting.  If all OK...it's  tire or just the best this scooter can ride at this price range on these roads.
If seriously loose up front....get it looked at by a pro.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.
