Missing hose on carburetor plug? I need help, please!
« on: September 17, 2017, 05:56:06 PM »
Dear Gentlemen,

I need help! There was a grow in our family, now we have an additional MXU 300 model year 2006.
There is oil leak on the rear axle, I will have to replace the simmering on the right side.
After inspecting the quad, I have the feeling, that a vacuum hose is missing on the carburetor.
Please take a look on the photo attached, and please check, if your quad have a hose on this plug marked with red.
Thank you very much in advance!

Regards

Tony

Check to make sure that connection actually does anything. From what I recall when Iu rebuilt my carb, that was just a "blind" hole.. doesn't go anywhere. Try blowing some air in it to see if it actually goes anywhere.

Just found a picture in the service manual showing that a vent hose connects there. The hose runs form the carb up to the back of the gas tank and loops into a hole on the gas tank btracket. Picture attached. No connection at the back of the gas tank as it's just a vent hose.
