Downtown 125

Hi, can anyone tell me how to remove the side panels on the above scooter please? Drivers where I used to work reversed into 4 bikes and knocked them over causing lots of scratches on the panels, which I need to respray, never caught the guys responsible!
Cheers.
Ray.

Sequence: remove seat and seat tub. Remove luggage rack (all this assuming DT125 is identical to DT3OOi)  find and remove nuts to the rear of main body. Remove several small screws on the sides and front. Now you have to "unsnap" all the plastic tupperware tabs and locks that keep the panels hooked together. Take it slow and try not to scream! There will be things that you overlooked and if you get riled up, just sit back and relax for a bit. I left a lot out since it has been awhile. Others may have more details but you get more here than the service manual.

If you have trouble unsnapping things and you can get to the tabs, drip a touch of oil in there.  Also, prying them apart with a screw driver is tempting, but often they break.  I use a thing called a "spudger".  People that fix cell phones and tablets use them to pop things apart.  They are made of a hard plastic, and you can buy a dozen real cheap on Ebay.  Anyone who works on their own scooter should have them.
