For the first time I have a manual that is clear and helpful in scooter panel removal !!
Buried deep in my downloaded Piaggio manual I discovered clear photos and easy to follow instructions for removing the floor area of my scooter. I no longer am planning to drill and plug an access hole for the buried 4th screw on the valve cover.
A few minutes with a powered screwdriver should make short work of getting that big panel out of the way.
I want to keep making valve checks a regular routine on my scooters -- but I suspect if the process is too complicated then that won't happen.
So, I'd rather drill an access hole in a black panel, and plug with a black rubber floor pan drain plug -- than risk skipping valve services.
Now I might not have to.
Yeah, I do valve checks more often than specified in the manual...
