Most of us are not young “whipper snappers “ anymore. Many of the things we could easily shake off years ago will mess us up now. Also, unfortunately, many of us have at least one underlying condition that we are dealing with. (I have type 2 Diabetes) . So we can’t get away with the stuff we used to get away with  such as lack of rest, undue stress, etc. So we must take care of ourselves.

Also, let’s enjoy PEOPLE more because we realize that any moment they could be gone. Stig’s post reminded us of the frailty and fickleness of life.

We need to ask ourselves if that last argument is worth severing a relationship?

My condolences Stig. So sorry to hear about your loss. Haven't been on as much of late. New teaching schedule, plus I'm recovering from a bad cold, but at least it's not the flu. A student in my class at one of the places where I teach was diagnosed with Chicken Pox, placing everyone on alert. I'm happy to say I'm not showing any symptoms, but your post put everything into perspective.

I'll have to look into the new shingles vaccine. Ride safe everyone.
