I'm actively riding as I just noticed the bolt was missing today (right side around 10:30 position), should I be concerned?

Also, any information on the bolt itself (ie. size, specific ordering information, purpose, ect) would be helpful.

I would like to replace it as soon as possible but just don't know where to start.

Thanks, Jon

Looks like one of the crankcase bolts. You should be VERY concerned about this and replace it soonest.

Well spotted, and good to ask.
But, Nope. You're good. Nothing missing. Nothing in the cyclepedia image, or on my LIKE200i.
They were going to put a cup holder down there for Americans, but .....
This engine is probably used in other scooters and fishing boats....so something else might go in there.

See that golden M8 bolt to the left in the pic? - one of those would probably screw in there so you don't lose points at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
BTW - that plastic cap covers the port where you look to get the timing mark for setting the valves. The label tells the oil capacity for engine oil changes.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Much appreciated Stig, that is a relief, and thanks for the the timing cap tip.

At almost 5000mi and with the weather improving (albeit slowly) engine maintenance, including a valve adjustment has been on my mind.

Thanks, Jon

Oops! Stig to the rescue, Johnnie. His picture shows my error. I am truly sorry for my false alarm.

Hey Crossbolt,

Better safe then sorry is what I say, and considering the limited info available in the photo I understand and appreciate your concern.

Thanks, Jon
