Tried mightily to make these helmet mount mirrors work on my Liberty.
Added the 2" blind spot mirrors to broaden the rear view.
I found that I could not pick out a car coming behind me unless they had their headlights on - and then,
just barely.
The mirror is too small, and too far away from my eyes. In the stock Vespa/Piaggio mirrors I can see nothing but elbows, and billet extenders are ugly and have too many flex joints with these mirrors. Been there, done that.
Peeled them off and have ordered some 3" convex mirrors.
I picked up a 2nd set of these Vespa mirrors for $20 ea. and will look for a machine shop who can add 1.5" to the center of the mirror stems this summer, then I can get rid of add-ons.
Every scooter I've owned required altering the stock mirrors. This Piaggio has proven a problem.
I am a big fan of seeing what's coming at me from back there.....and even on the speedy Burgman I found I couldn't outrun an Ohio soccer mom or grumpy guy in a truck.
