Kymco Xciting 400i ABS issue
« on: May 22, 2018, 11:42:26 AM »
Hi guys,

I am not sure if this topic has been mentioned before so i opened a new one hoping that someone has solution. I have 2014 XCT 400i ABS and I have strange issue with my front brake. I will try to describe.

Every first time when pressed the lever drops almost to the end and it doesn’t brake - or it breaks a little bit. When pressed second time (immediately after )works perfect. Also, when scooter is OFF, does the same, I need to make 3 m with it and the brake will drop again on the first press. ABS works i can feel it while breaking. Rear break works good with no issues.

I have aired brake fluid lines and replaced DOT4, inspected brake pads, brake disks, brake caliper and no leaks found. At begging i was thinking it is problem with setting the level (1-4) of lever and this is why brake catches low, but it is not an issue.

What do you guys think could be an issue, thanxxx

Did the problem start after you serviced the brake fluid....or before?
How many miles on your scooter?
Recently crashed?
If you are finding no leaks in system ...seems like you have air in that line, or is a problem in the master cylinder. caliper or with the ABS?

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.
