The warranty on these are not transferable. So no, you don't have a warranty.

Fully charge your battery before attempting to use it, otherwise you can damage it or decrease its longevity. Once your battery is fully charged and you have checked all connections, you should be OK.  If you still have the problem, now it will be even easier to pinpoint since you eliminated the battery and the connections.

For your previous battery, a voltage of 11.5v means it was down to 20%.  Here's a little breakdown...

12.6v or higher - Fully Charged
12.5v - 90%
12.42v - 80%
12.32v - 70%
12.2v - 60%
12.06v - 50%
11.9v - 40%
11.75v - 30%
11.58v - 20%
11.31v - 10%
10.5v - Bone Dead

Warranty IS fully transferable. Warranty starts when scooter is first registered for road use - warranty continues for 2 yrs from that date.
Contact KYMCO to transfer the warranty.

The warranty is not transferable from the original owner to you, but you definitely need to replace the battery.
wait what?  I thought Kymco was one of the only ones that allowed a warranty to transfer.  To transfer one just needs a Kymco dealer to do an inspection, or is it limited to only certain models/model years?

In the States, you contact Kymco directly to register your new ownership.
I think most of the big names have transferable warranties....but Honda and Suzuki are for only 1 year.

Thanks to all, for the notes on this forum.  Replaced the solenoid this week, and no more no-start / just an audible CLICK problem.

Purchased a new one from eBay, search for "scooter solenoid", the seller is "az1imports". 

The one they sell is a perfect match (ie. connector and size) to the OEM one installed on the Kymco Like 200i.  Only thing I did differently was used the OEM rubber encasing, and that seemed to be a better fit to the metal brackets on the frame.

One thing worth noting is that the wiring from eBay was shorter than the one that came with the scooter, and made the installation more challenging than it had to.

Thanks for the pointers in this post - turns out my spare-parts Like 125 had a dodgy solenoid and is now turning over well on the screwdriver short.

It'll never run again but at least I know the motor is OK!
