reseting service notice on odometer
« on: August 14, 2008, 03:20:21 PM »
The service notification is flashing on my P S250 odometer. I've tried pushing the two buttons in different combinations but cannot clear it. Anyone have any info? I purchased my scooter used and it did not come with a manual.

Thanks

Stop  by  your  local  dealer  and introduce  yourself...Im sure he will  be happy  to  show you  how ..You  are  "FRESH"  meat  for  parts  and service $$$$...He makes way more  $$$  selling you  parts  and service  than  on  a  scooter..

I agree with old bull, go by a Kymco dealer-(even if you intend on doing all the maintenance yourself) your better off to start with going by a dealer. You did not post the milage but there may be many service items that it is time for. Some where on this forum is a site that you can down load a service manual-if you intend to do the work yourself. It still won't tell you how to turn off the service reminder. That is only in the owners manual I think. This scooter has service intervals for oil change and some other items at approx 1200 miles as listed in the service manual. Go by and talk to  the Kymco dealer. He should have plenty of time to talk to you, since most dealers don't have any scooters left to sell. He may also be able to get you an origional owners manual. Also the air filters are strickly a dealer item and the service manual says replace at at about 2500 miles, so while your there, if you spend a little money with him I'm sure he will give you a kinds of information,.. and maybe a free owners manual-so you will know when to have the service work done at his shop!!......

OK,OK, look in the general discussion section. On page 3 you will find web sites for owners and service manual downloads, but you still should go by your Kymco dealer and talk with them.
