the cog that the bendix goes onto seems quite stiff it still turns but cant do it by hand is usual or is there summat wrong?

..do you mean the one that's about 4 inches in diameter??

..if so, that's your drive face, and the stiffnes is a result of the cylinder's compression...

..did you verify that the bendix is spinning in the right direction?

..there has been instances where a newly installed starter motor would turn backwards...

..imma have to google the fix for that one, because it has only one wire for voltage..and a ground wire that is attached by a screw...


..anybody know how to reverse the polarity of the starter motor??

no i mean it comes out to the other cog but then it stops so is that weak battery?

..also, make sure the wire is connected to the motor...

..mine fell off once before...

..what happens when you try to start your scoot with the pushbutton??

..i ask because there are MANY reasons a starter won't run...

..let's narrow down the possibilities..  ;D
