Plugs?

Just bought a new Kymco Xtown 300-I. Does anyone know if anyone makes an iridium plug for the standard DPR6EA-9 spark plug that this is delivered with?
I generally use Iridium's in everything, because they act like a hot plug when cold, a cold plug when hot, and last forever, eliminating the need to change plugs, ever!

A found a post that says that only the colder plug comes with an iridium electrode, and seems to be true. It's strange, but I think you'd only need to check that it's not building up too much carbon.

That would be DPR7EIX-9, or the Denso equivalent IX22B.

Not really sure, but if you do an internet search of your code with the addition of spark plug you should be able to find the manufacturer, and what all those letters mean and then search for cross references to other manufacturers.  I have OEM NGK plugs on my Like 200i and Ix is their code for iridium so my plugs go from CR7HSA to CR7HIX.  The S means Standard copper and the A un-defined special construction, in the new plug I is Iridium and X high performance.

Give it a try but I am no expert on this stuff, so be diligent in your research .

I just ordered my first replacement set today, I got 4 (only $4 more then a single plug on Amazon) in case I break the very brittle iridium conductor when I am gaping the plug.

Amazon, but its funny...

I just checked so I could post the link and now the difference between the two is around $20, but sure enough in "My Orders" section the difference is only $4, arriving Aug 1st-6th. 

Perhaps an AI brain fart or I just got lucky!

I know the photo's are inconsistent, but I find that to be a fairly common issue on amazon.

Thanks guys. It appears that the stock DPR6EA-9 spark plug that this was delivered with, is an NGK copper plug.
I couldn't find anything that cross referenced with it Online, so I went to both NAPA and Auto Zone, and neither of them was able to come up with anything either?
I'm hoping in time, the industry will recognize the demand and start producing them.
I was told, and always under the impression that you should never gap Iridiums, that they come pre-gapped for the application?

As I said, they don't appear to make an iridium version. Only for the colder plug you could try which would be DPR7EIX-9 .

As long as you respect the fact that the iridium tip is extremely fragile, you can gap it. Just make sure you never put any pressure/force on it.
