Ow! The exchange rate mus be terrible! I have ridden their 300 cc and was not impressed. Plus it had small wheels and a short wheelbase. Well, it IS a classic! But for 7 grand, ouch!

Always wondered how they ride.
That front suspension is so different.
Euro streets look made of cobblestones often - maybe that suspension will smooth the ride on that stuff. A cobbled road would beat a LIKE to death.
Had a Vespa dealer give me a test ride on a new BV350 afew yrs ago - but those are harder to sell than his Vespas. No test rides of those!
Many new Burgman 650 owners complain about a rough ride - so price doesn't always seem to determine the ride quality.
Wondered how many Burg owners are first time scoot owners who just stepped out of their Buicks.

The 300 model is about $10,000 in Australia.  We have a couple of Vespa 250s that we ride for advertising and I must admit they are so smooth.  When I get off the Vespa and back on to my Like 200i what I notice is the Like has more vibration but is slimmer and your knees are in a higher position due to the floorboard being higher.  I reckon the front suspension on the Vespas are great.  If you get a chance for a ride of a Vespa then take it.  The Vespas that we ride at work both have over 40,000 kms on them and still feel good.

Do like that Vespa GTS 300 a lot, but boy are they pricey.  And good luck getting a deal on one.  Was considering a ten year old GTS 250 in real nice shape, but the guy wanted $3800.  Man, that's a brand new Like 200i and gas money for years...  Maybe some day, when I've gotten too old to ride my motorcycles, that would be a good option.  But for now, I'm liking that Like.

I don't see the 964 listed, which is the most expensive Vespa, at $10+K, and with virtually no storage space.

Dat's a lot of moola for a show-off work of art. You gotta admit, it is sexy.
