Fuel tank vent issue
« on: August 07, 2018, 11:27:33 PM »
I recently purchased a 2015 Like 200i with only 600 miles and have put 2000 on it in 4 months. I was having an intermittent issue with poor performance and noticed it was usually when the tank was below half full. I suspected trash in the tank and a clogged filter screen on the fuel pump but I pulled the pump and the tank and screen were clean. Thanks to Stig and this forum I was able to isolate the problem to clogged vent lines. Apparently  I was getting fuel injector cleaner down the vent hole by the gas cap.
Thanks again to Stigs and the forum ppl

Welcome !
And good for you. Pulling the fuel pump is not a small bit of servicing!
Yeah, I  worked on the fuel cap, and all those vent lines trying to sort a driveability issue (which was being complicated by a failing throttle position sensor )
