CDI and upgrades
« on: September 05, 2017, 03:11:11 AM »
Hi guys, need some help! Just upgraded from agility 125 to a 200s and doing the usual upgrades. So far have done the 2000 springs, dr pulley variator and sliders, new coil and exhaust, and this is where my issue is! Where is the CDI located? On the agility it's under the floor next to the battery, but the 200 is different! Any advise where it is and best way to get at it?
Thanks

http://www.49ccscoot.com/manuals/manuals.html has the manual.

Section 15-1 has a great pic of the bike naked & shows ya exactly where it is.

A bit of a PITA to get at to be honest, be careful with the tabs when ya pull it apart.

Great work thankyou ! Problem 2 now is the original cdi has a single wire running off it as well as the 2 plugs, which I assumed was a restrictor of some kind and basically ignored it. The scoot had no power and wouldn't start. Found one of the fuses next to the battery blown so put factory cdi back in and replaced the fuse. Fired straigh up so went for a blast. Have now discovered that all lights are gone and only the 2 small park lights next to the headlight globe is working. No indicators or headlights or anything! Uh oh!!
Anyone got any ideas where I should start working on tracing the problem? Both fuses are fine but worried I have done something major to it!
Thanks
