Xciting 400i oil change instructional video
« on: August 23, 2018, 02:09:46 AM »

I had to add 1.4 liters (Per ET's post) of oil but the manual calls for 1.3 liters.
When I added 1.3(per my manual), the stick was only about 30% covered.
Easy to get a drain pan under the screen and drain plugs, but the filter will require addition something to keep oil off everything next time.
He had the same problem in the video. I'll come up with something if no one else does by the next change.

Next, I use these bottles when measuring trans fluid.

I purchased some plastic tubing at the local hardware about 2' long to fit the bottle spout. It fit perfect in the fluid hole.
I used the oil I drained out into a measuring cup which was exactly 200 ml and poured it into the bottle.
I used a black marker to make a ring around the bottle for future reference. Emptied the bottle, cleaned it, added new oil to the line,
stuck the hose on the bottle, the other end in the filler hole and squeezed. Presto, the exact amount in. Plugs in and ready to go.

Well done you!!
Two things to consider...
1) The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse always gets the cheese.
2) Eagles may soar, but weasels never get sucked into jet engines.
