kick start not returning

Agility 50 on a 56 reg. The kick start does not feel right, seems not to do a lot & when pressed down does not return any ideas

you well have to take the cover off and see if the spring is ok. I my self cound on my elec start most the time mine dont always spring back eather,

Yeah, you'll have to pull off the cvt cover and take a look on the inside of the cover.  It's a pretty simple mechanism.

My kick doesn't always return to the very top after I use it so I have to use lift it back up with the toe.

These kicks don't have that much travel so it can seem like not much is happening, but I kick start the scoot on cold morning routinely (to save on the starter) and it works fine.

Found the problem, stripped & found the gear on the spindle had never been machined properly, the return spring not broken, where there should have been a tooth there was not so had been like it since new. Filed a tooth into it lubed & checked operation, rebuilt working well now. Thank you for your help
