Questions
« on: November 06, 2018, 08:49:20 PM »
I almost bought a Grand Vista 250 last weekend, but it didn't work out. Now it looks like I might pick up an xCiting 500 next weekend so I've got some newbie questions if you don't mind. Please feel free to answer as many or as few as you want...

1) How long have you had your xCiting?

2) How many miles do you have on your xCiting?

3) Do you like your xCiting a lot and would you recommend it (would you buy an xCiting all over again) or should I keep trying to get the Grand Vista?

4) What's your typical gas mileage?

5) How many miles do you get out of your tires?

6) Does the windshield actually help at highway speed? (It looks quite a bit lower than the Grand Vista's.)

7) Anything I should expect to fix soon (it has 5000 miles on it) and if so, what's it typically cost?

Thanks for your input and help!

1) 3 years 2)76 500km 3)I still like it a lot, but would not buy another. 4)20km/l   5)rear tyre change out twice as fast as front. 6)you would probably need a slip stream or 3rd party screen 7) Entirely dependant on condition of the scoot.

The 500 is pretty much the most trouble prone scooter in the Kymco range of scooter models.
Please do plenty of reading here, and youtube searches, to determine if you will be happy with your choice of the 500.

Much too frequently it refuses to start in cool temperatures - some have found work-arounds to solve this. Some have not.

The 150, 250 and 300 models are considered bullet proof by many owners. Not so, with the 500.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

The windshield is useless for riding visor up (think it actually channels air in my face) and other than keeping air off your chest it does nothing for head buffeting.
