j costa variator
« on: September 21, 2010, 12:20:50 AM »
hi, i read someone asking about a costa variator. i have a 2006 burgman 400s .bought it with 2000 miles on it.at that time a got a costa to replace jerkey and noisy stock variator . wow what a difference ,very smooth on takeoff no roller noise and a lot faster on takeoff . bike now has 9000miles  with no problems at all. top speed is about the same 95 mph, thats at 4300 alt. and a 250 lb rider. cant remember price around 280, i think. i have a 2010 yeager gt 200i . just got it and think its a great machine. no need for a costa onn this baby. thanks, iker

..welcome to th' forum iker!!

..different variators can make a big difference in how a scoot performs..

..the weight of the variator itself, coupled with the supplied roller weights can make drastic changes in acceleration, mid and top end...

..that yager is an awesome scoot!!!

your right ,Batman. the costa doesnt use rollers instead it uses 12 pins with round heads in the burgman .
