I did the research....what is in Kymco book=92    but the number is what the Europeans use .....multiply by .95 and you come out with 87 something----so reg is fine.  Then I looked under seat, decal, there it says 87 Octane for US use----I see no use to spend more money for what the machine doesn''t need.

Sometime long hard, uphill runs in the west---I buy a tank of super....but it really makes no difference.   Long trips, every 1000 miles, I try to buy tank of Shell Super....for its cleaning capabilities.....probably all in my head.

Going to throw this half eaten donut into the fuel discussion:
Put gas labeled as Top Tier in your new scooter. Costs no more than the stuff sold at Ollie's Yogurt & Live Bait Emporium.
Meets all manufacturer's cleaning requirements.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

The other thing to consider....its not like your spending a lot of money on higher octane gas for a 2-3 gallon tank. You might spend an extra $1.50 per tank, for piece of mind and in my experience with my 300 Gti, it ran absolutely well. I use Shell 93 on the 300 and the 400.
