Made me smile, again!
« on: December 10, 2018, 07:15:33 PM »
Snapped this cell pix of this youngster riding his red sport bike through town on a cold January day  nearly two years ago.

Well, saw him again today ….24°F....with a "feels like / 11°F"....!
I'm impressed.
Flashed my truck lights at him as he approached. He gave a head nod.

Pretty cool to see a young fellow riding his bike on a really cold day - and properly geared up. Still using quiet stock exhaust, too!

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Kawasaki GPZ500. The courier's favourite and quite literally my favourite bike of all time. Parallel twin that is whisper quite on stock pipes, but went pretty quickly (nearly 60hp) when pushed. Very common in the UK!
Rides;

Suzuki GW250 Inazuma (2016)
Honda C70C (red, 1983)

Did anyone notice how spotless that bike is, especially considering it's Winter in Ohio?  This young man is clearly made of the right stuff.

I like his bike as well.  Although the Ninja 500 is a technically a sport bike it's a very practical and good all around bike.  I had an 89 EX500 which was the forerunner of the Ninja 500.  Of all the bikes I have owned that EX500 is probably my favorite.  I put around 66,000 miles on it and rode it in about half of the states in this country.
