I know this has probably been covered many times here but how many klms did you ride before changing or the belt breaking.

The owners manual says to check it at 6k miles. I changed the belt and rollers at that time. The old belt had only lost about 1 mm. or so.  12k miles seems reasonable.

I would have had 20000 miles on the DT300i belt had it not started to disintegrate from overheating. Mice packed the CVT vents with birdseed and we went on a 500 mile trip! Find out what the belt dimensions are and inspect regularly. Have a correct spare on hand for inspection and when the original fails inspection, replace.

Yeah, manual says to inspect it at 6,000. I replaced it before that - but not absolutely necessary.
Had a spare OEM belt - so put it on while installing the Dr P's.

Don't think many of us want to wait for a break!
I turn, & ride, through too many busy multi-lane intersections to risk a break.
Other than fluids - about the only other wear items I've found on my LIKE200i are the tires, rollers & slides. The airfilter, Iridium NGK,  and brake pads seem to be good until the Rapture. So, why not spend a bit for a belt?

Most of us recommend using only Kymco belts.

I'm at 10,200 klms (6300 miles) and will order belt and rollers this week. If i go through the trouble to check it might as well replace it.Drives me nuts the Speedo predominant numbers are MPH but the odometer is klms.

Replaced mine at 9000 miles no cracks but width was reduced about 2mm. I replaced because I wanted to go to Dr Pulley sliders.

What country are you in?
My speedo/odo reads mph and miles here in the US.

Im in Texas, noticed odometer was not matching up to google map distances after i had it a couple of months. Checked mileage against a friends car and klms to miles conversion matched exactly.
