a50 engine code
« on: August 31, 2010, 07:31:50 PM »
I just took a look at my engine code, stamped next to the cvt cover, and it
reads kg10sa.

Anybody knows if this is just kymco's gy6 clone number or does this indicate a non-compatability with gy6 parts?
Im usually on a bicycle, so for me, this thing is hauling ass!

..i would not use any standard gy6 engine parts...

..when ordering parts, make sure they are stated to be compatible with the A50...

..i orderd a 1500 contra spring for a gy6 50...the diameter was too small, but it fits my junker Marshin that has a 10" rear tire...

..however, most cvt parts of all the kymco 50s will interchange dimensionally...
..every mod (action) necessitates a (reaction) mod..
