I just did a proper Voltage test on the wire at the 2 pin plug and you can compare your Voltage reading with my readings below:

1. Voltage reading with Ignition Switch at “On” position. = 12.77 Volts.

2. Voltage reading when the Starter button get pressed  =. 10.67 Volts.

In my case the voltage drop to 10.67 Volts when the Starter Button get pressed does not cause any problems - there is sufficiant spark to fire up the engine immediately.
This obviously means if you get a Voltage reading of at least 10.67 Volt when the Starter Button get pressed, your battery will be fine - the CDI might be faulty.

Oh nice, thank you for the data!! Hopefully this weekend I'll be able to take a look at the scooter, although the temp is supposed to start dropping around my area so we'll see!
