A Ural kinda day....
« on: February 20, 2019, 01:27:15 PM »
6 inches of wet snow with freezing rain falling on top of it.
Pity those without front wheel drive this morning.

Am I going to shovel 6" of wet snow off the sidewalk ?
Do I want a heart attack, or watch "Master & Commander" again and then change the gear oil on the LIKE200iLX?

Except for the gifted Chevy F-150 - all my cars have had the drive wheels under the engine.

Sent my young wife off to work in the xB. Being blonde, she's not worried a bit. See her tracks...

The sound of my neighbor's smoking rear tires is getting annoying.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

I prefer rear wheel drive, don't like wheels that are suppose to steer, spinning

I use redneck traction control (weight over rear wheels, a few cement blocks in the trunk/truck bed, etc. I have about 800lbs of steel in the bed of my Silverado)

You would be surprised how well a motorcycle can go in a blizzard

Reminded of my younger years.  On a CL90, armed with a large screwdriver to chip out snow and slush from between the tire and the fender, I'd happily venture out in this stuff.  Not worth the effort, as I recall.
