Group names for scooters
« on: July 08, 2019, 07:40:04 PM »
Like the way animals have names to describe them in numbers - murder of crows, school of fish, a band of Gorillas, etc. ... . Does one exist for seeing a group of scooter riders?

Well based on the shape of many of our rides I'd say that a "swarm" of scooters would be appropriate.

Lame? *
Stig
*A group who has poor social skills, lacks charisma, boring, dull, uninspiring, uncool, aged & over-weight.

this is not what we were looking for.....

How 'bout a Ride of scooters or a Riding of scooters?
Stretches the original thought on Riding a bit, but heck why not have fun?...Other than that I'm good with "Swarm" :)

On the Scooter Forum on Adventure Rider I posed the same question. So far my favorite one is a
Mod of Scooters.

Back in the day, a bunch of us in our regular riding group owned large-displacement Kymcos.

In Hong Kong Cantonese, the word(s) for small-displacement scooters literally translates to "little sheep". We called the large-displacement scooters "super sheep". I don't know if this is a commonly accepted nomenclature, but it was fun to call ourselves the Super Sheep Club.

Most of us drive bikes now, though I do love my Super 9 LC to bits.

So by extension you could have a Flock or Herd of Kymcos.
