Justgottascoot Royal Alloy review
« on: July 28, 2019, 12:21:53 PM »
Pop over there to read his August 2019 review of this new Chinese scooter.
I did note his emphasis that "if you stay away from ethanol blends" this scooter will be just fine.
Also, avoiding ethanol blended gas would mean that it would have to be purchased as a garden ornament in my part of the USA --- and I suspect this would hold true for 90% of America.
I suppose I could load up the car with gas cans and make day trips to non ethanol fuel pumps. But I  have better things to do with my time...like riding my Kymco and Piaggio.
Carbed 150 engine in 2019, starting at $3500 ...
metal skinned over a tube frame. ??

Well, no. Actually weighs about the same at my LIKE200iLX. .....@270.
Chinese pop cans don't weigh that much..
.....
But, if Genuine scoots are backing it ....must be an OK product. Just @$1000 over priced. What will Lambretta wannabees pay?

Sorry. I don't follow your comment.
What "link"?

A side view of a Royal clearly shows that this "metal bodied" scooter is not a Vespa-like monocoque set-up at all, where the metal skin is the structure.
The Royal would snap that thin floor in two, if there were not a tubular frame under there - just as is found in a plastic bodied scooter.
