Easy brake pad life check
« on: August 03, 2019, 01:33:19 AM »
I use my camera, connect it to the Dell and take a look at what I've got.
While I was on the garage floor looking at my tire patch, I also checked the brake pads on my 7 year old LIKE200iLX.
15,600 miles. Have regularly lubed the pins, opened and closed the allen bolts to keep them from seizing, and replaced the fluid x2 - but the pads have never been changed.
Bear in mind that these LIKE brakes may be the best on any non ABS scooter in the whole Kymco line! Light, easy to modulate  and powerful!
Goofy things look like they are going to outlive the owner.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

"Good pilot don't need brakes!" Told to me to counter my crabbing about the crappy brakes on a raggedy Cessna 180 (taildragger) jump plane...yeah, those will out last you! Ya gotta squeeze the levers, Stig.
