Intake manifold oversize for kymco super 9

hi guys,

i want to fit a 24mm carb on my kymco super 9 ac,
the point is that i can't find a suitable manifold, how would you fit this carb?
anyone tryed the honda dio oversized  manifold on super 9?



i know that exist the malossi adapter for this model but i think it will fit till 21mm carb and not bigger ones...

Just curious - what are you doing that you want a 24mm carb?

Its been a few years, but I bought a new intake for my LC S9.  It is a factory Kymco intake, just like the one from the S9 but larger on the ID - 21mm as I recall, whereas the stock is 19mm?  I noticed no difference; purchased it from an Ebay seller in Asia, and was changing from the Arreche carb to Dellorto.

It is such a strange shaped intake - and serious tuners are turned off by the length.   But short of making your own custom intake, there has been nothing available with a larger ID. 

The Malossi adapter merely allows the change from the factory flanged carb to an aftermarket spigot carb - the "Malossi" carb is a Dellorto.

if i understood correctly with the malossi adapter i could fit from 17.5 to 21mm dell'orto carb, right?

Yes - well sort of. The intake adapter bolts to the Kymco intake, and leaves the spigot to mount the carb.  If you research appropriate Dellorto carbs you see that they come in different mounting styles.

The Malossi kit with the intake adapter and carb (and other useful bits) uses a clamp-on style.

To use a spigot mount carb you would have to find and fit a short section of hose and use two hose clamps to mount the carb.
