carb jetting
« on: September 16, 2010, 01:02:44 PM »
how do you know if you have over jetted as i have put a 98 main in the a50 and it seems to run fine however if i leave her to tick over for a minute then to wide open throttle theres a very slight yet very quick hesitation (doping) then all goes well again am i ok with this or should i size down to 96?.the only mods i have done so far is the high flow filter and the jet,no exhaust mods at all

..the only way to tell for sure is by doing plug chops..

..every mod (action) necessitates a (reaction) mod..

Took the plug out and lone behold shes running a little rich no biggy at least we aint lean,so i will be trying a 96 or 94(more likely the 94 jet) as opposed to the 98 fitted keep you all posted on progress as usual, also forgot to mention the origional jet was 80.I will get her dialed in eventualy, teething troubles easily overcome me thinks and im just dialing her in on the champion prz9hc so as not to kill my cr7hix iridium tc :)
