Thinking about buying new Like 200i

I How many miles can one expect out of the oem tires?

Tire mileage varies greatly depending on where and how you ride.  I put a City Grip on the back of my Like 150i and I doubt it will make it much past 5,000 miles.  That's still better than the OEM tire which was toast after 1700 miles.  I have a friend with a Vespa GTS.  He said he got 4500 miles out of a rear City Grip. 

You won't know how many miles you will get until you wear out your tires.

I got about 8000 miles on the original rear Kenda. It was beyond the wear marks. I replaced the tires 2 years ago when it actually rained more than a few days in the season. I have about 5k on the Michelin City grips that i replaced them with. No signs of wear yet.

By doing some study-----Like 200 has one engine--2 valve 163 cc-----new 150 has 4 valve,, 149 cc but more power---both still air cooled, simple


150 has new frame, easy to get at gas filler---probably better performance (PI test says 125 km top speed) and of course 150 price is more.

All something to think about.

The like200 messed with my back - as a longer-term scooter rider (clearly not of the scale you've been) it's the only bike that gave me this issue. I'm 5ft10.

The 163cc motor is GY6-based and fairly bombproof, but to be honest it's not a massive improvement on the vastly more common other variants of the GY6 and I found it a little thirsty for its meagre capacity.

Exhaust removal made changing the rear wheel a bit of a pain in the backside.

If I were coming around to the decision again, I'd definitely be looking at the newer 150i.

I think of only the latest/newer model---bound to be some improvements.

Not being a power guy, ever (Honda 90 served my wife & I perfectly in Mass in the 60's)...the new LIKE150I's LED headlight and the 2 wheel ABS is of the greatest interest to me.
At my age, don't see any new scooters in my future.
7 seasons on, no LIKE200iLX components have failed (after the throttle body/TPS under warranty ). I'll fix it if possible - but will let it go if becomes the least bit unreliable. I'm too far from home right now...and most days,....and snow is coming in 2 days...
Agree, the second gen is probably the best choice.

Any body know if new 150, muffler connects to exhaust pipe with joint....may easy rear wheel removal? I don't like the idea of 200---one piece exhaust pipe and muffler.
