Too much gear ?!

Some days I am wearing so much cold weather gear that, #1- I can't see in my mirrors,
#2 - I can't easily bend my arms to put in ear plugs or get my helmet off & on.

Going to try one of these Ultra thermal turtleneck under shirts and see if I can skip one of the thicker layers.
I am wind/water proofed & visible with the Nomex hi viz jacket. Armored in all 3 places with a leather ICON worn under that.

Will be riding out in the dark at 34°F  tomorrow morning...and it doesn't look to be much warmer at sunrise for the foreseeable future, so hope the new shirt arrives next week!

I use down jacket for cold winter rides, up to 20-25 miles.  Expensive down, bought in North.  Stuff bought in south just ain't warm---rain/snow I can put rain jacket or Darien jacket over.   Full day's riding in real cold....down under  Darien jacket/Darien pants, Wolverine waterproof boots or rubber overboots.  Have large collection of gloves/over mitts.   Windshield important in cold.....but one the works!!-----So dressed I can move/tee shirt next to skin, long underwear, too.
