Adjustment screws at top of headlight.

Does anyone know this pair of adjustment screws does?  They are located at the top of the GV250 headlight.  They turn a series of gears behind the headlight housing.  I thought they were the two screws used to remove the front panel.  I hadn't removed the windshield yet, and didn't see the 10mm heads for the actual bolts I needed to remove.  I spen them counter clockwise before I realized the were the wrong screws.  I've tried turning the gears, and looking at the front to see what they go to.  I for the life of me can not tell what the function of this contraption is.   Any ideas Kymco think tank?

Adjusting headlight beam L and R, and up and down....probably.
On all of my scoots these toothed wheel adjustments were accessed from below the headlight....without removing any panels or parts.

Stig is correct: they adjust the aim of the head light. Be very careful when turning them, they strip easily due to being plastic.

Thank you for the reply guys.  I was able to get the headlight fairly centered by turning the source screw from behind bofore putting it all back together.   This GV250 is a solid bike.  Feels like a smaller version of my Burgman 400.  Scooter has 31,000 miles on it.  Valves were checked once on the first service, and never touched again.   Both were in spec when I checked them.

put a socket on the metal ones if you try to use the proper method often the plastic teeth will strip.  Problem is you have to do trial and error to repoint the light.  consider upgrading to led bulb that works perfect: cheap and worked perfect on my 2005 GV250
