All-rain ride on the LIKE200iLX
« on: February 04, 2020, 05:20:43 PM »

It was 52°F overnight.....and raining steadily.

My excuse is -

1) the 1st gen. Kymco LIKE200i equipped with Michelins - is a great rain scooter.

2) My winter riding gear is also waterproof.

3) the weather forecast into the near future is lousy with cold, freezing overnights (I ride at before sunrise - always)

The tires performed perfectly. The LIKE was steadily rained on for 3.5 hours and never missed a beat. Instant EFI starts & ran  like a sewing machine.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

PS....

When I crossed over I-70 coming home I raised my arm and gave a wave to the truckers passing below - I got a big HONK from an air horn in reply! "Nutcase up there riding in the rain!"

And they are not nutz for driving an 80000 pound truck in the rain? Well, their hydroplaning speed is around 100 mph....
