Carnivorous Virus & my coffee shop {and nice pic}
« on: March 13, 2020, 11:38:50 AM »
We're working on a backup plan in case they force our coffee shop to close.
So far we're boiling water and otherwise pretty much disagreeing on everything else.
Ed says we should add a big shot of Southern Comfort to each cup of coffee. Dino said he has a pilots license,  but no liquor license.  Joe suggested, " well then, how about you do air drops?"
Dino said, " we've no more lids"...so he'd be dropping scalding cups of liquored up coffee on a bunch of old guys.

I reminded them all that I'm driving a scooter...so, "cut me off after 3 shots".
Pandemic will be over before we get this sorted....

They say high concentration of alcohol kills the virus.  Stay drunk my friends, just kidding for those that don't have a sense of humor.

Grocery stores are being cleared of TP and hand sanitizers here in the great city of Grand Rapids.  I went and cleared the shelves of several 30 packs of PBR.

I'm prepared for a bit.......
05 Super 9, 06 Best & Win, and a fleet of other scoots.....

This morning I read this and couldn't help but wonder about our reaction to this virus:

I was planning on a ROMEO  scooter ride today. They were to meet at the Inman cafe. Since it was drizzling I took the truck and had Mexican food.  We're supposed to have thunderstorms tomorrow followed by cold weather.  Hopefully next week will be nice so I can take a long ride.

That is pretty cool!
(no one pointed out that the "lazy city employees" should have had them down already? Here, there would have been one such letter to the newspaper )

well, that's cause the town is not responsible, the lights are owned and maintained by a non profit, independent of the municipality, they normally don't take em down till the end of March to avoid working in snowbanks, they put em up in the beginning of November,  they get turned on at Thanksgiving, and off a week after New Year

the town does pay the electric bill however

our christmas lights were a big deal a couple years ago, unique in the way the lights are strung, we were told to get them off the utility company poles, and to keep em, the non profit was formed and a second set of poles owned by the non profit was installed,  They fly sponsored banners in the summer to raise $$
