How fast has your K-pipe gone?
« on: March 30, 2017, 10:15:47 PM »
Just seeing how fast everyone has gone on their K-Pipe 125s.

I'm 235 lbs, stock gearing, Delkevic pipe...in a full face tuck I've reached 64 MPH indicated, I have yet to check my speedos accuracy but I know it's actually pretty accurate.

I also want to know if anyone has changed up sprockets at all, possibly dropping a tooth in the front?

I've just not come up with a top speed yet.  I know I've seen almost sixty but I think my speedo's about three MPH optimistic according to my GPS.

I bought sprockets but haven't installed them as I went ahead and installed an "O" ring chain.

As mine continues to loosen up and I put miles on it I expect it to top out at a real world sixty or so.  I computed the actual gearing (including the rear tire size), compared it to my 125 Lifan/Passport with a 17/36 sprocket combo and a smaller 2.50-17" tire and they're virtually identical numbers-wise. The Passport tops out at 64 but it also supposedly has a full point more compression than the K-Pipe.

To be honest I think I'd be happier taping over the speedo, not worrying about how fast I'm going and just enjoy riding it.

I have hit 62, but what I found out today, is that the Kpipe likes hot weather, I was able to maintain 55mph  on flat going and slight upgrade
