Really smooth move this morning. ..
« on: June 11, 2020, 11:10:16 AM »
I tried a dismount this morning as though I was on my old Forza.
'Cept of course I'm on a step through with a high top case.
Fortunately there were only 3 cars watching at the light....
If I'd done that in front of my coffee shop...well, I'd just have to find another village.
Darn near kicked over my own scooter....

I find myself throwing a leg over my scooter all the time despite having a step through frame. To many years of motorcycle riding and the habits that are in ingrained.
In parts 200S and Grand Vista and my motorcycles 2 CS BMW'S and one GS BMW.

Sold-32 Kymco scooters of various sizes this summer.

only time I ever broke a bone, dismounting my SV650, boot gets caught on seat, as I am falling on my face, I put my hands out, broke my left thumb, and kicked the bike in the other direction. no damage.  rode home with a hurtin left hand (I'm left handed) doc put me in a cast that went up to my elbow, but fingers were sticking out.  I could still ride, hardest part was getting cast thru jacket sleeve with thumb sticking out perpendicular.  but once thru, I could hook the clutch with my fingers

almost did the same with my K-pipe, twice, yesterday, boot caught on a bungee net hook while dismounting
