Pays To Read The Label
« on: October 16, 2010, 11:39:12 PM »
Bought a blue tarp at Harbor Freight to cover the scoot for winter storage. Got it home and read on the label that it is not to be used to cover a vehicle and must be kept 2" away from the surface if it is. The color may run, it said, and it may damage any plastic. I know certain types of plastic will interact with other plastics and melt them. That will happen from placing plastic fishing worms in plastic boxes that are not labeled wormproof. Would hate to take the tarp off in the spring and find a mess of a scoot.

Consider yourselves forewarned!

I purchased a grill cover from Lowes (they make bIG grills nowadays) It has a fleece type inner lining (so won't scratch plastic when flapping in the wind. It does not cover the wheels completely, but I think there was an even bigger one. I should have bought that. It was only 12 bucks.
