Carb Jet Size? Agility 125
« on: March 30, 2020, 07:49:36 PM »
Hi,

I'm changing the air filter+intake and the exhaust on my 2016 Agility 125. What main and pilot jet sizes would be recommended to get me roughly in the correct range? The current stock carb has a 102 main jet and a 0.35 pilot. I am replacing the stock airbox with a UNI dual layer washable foam filter because of dusty ride conditions clogging the paper filter. I crunched the stock exhaust pipe and am replacing the entire system with a cheap glass pack "Short Performance Gy6 Exhaust".

Other possibly helpful info, the bike has 12,150 miles and is run on non-ethanol fuel. Everything is stock other than a manual enricher/choke and Dr. Pulley 14g sliders.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

I have no idea about jet sizes but as far as the air box is concerned - I smear a thin layer of grease at the inside of the filter box as well as at the inside of the air inlet pipe. I do this on all my vehicles. A lot of dust get trapped in the grease and this makes the filters last a lot longer. Most dust never reaches the filter. The inside of te filter boxes are a it messy but the grease does not cause any damage and nobody sees it anyway.
I did a diy filter modification which can be seen elsewhere at the forum. It works very well .

Thanks for the advice. A lot of dust has collected on the walls of the airbox so that should help hold it.

Thanks for opening my first ever post. Correct, all problems associated with the stock air systems are nicely cleaned and packed in a box.

Simplicity is the beauty of it. I went with a long filter to allow it longer run times between cleans and also to be large enough for when I big block it.

I'd start with a 110 main and a 40 pilot. With an open filter and exhaust should be close but could be a bit fat

Thanks souzamoto. I settled with a 114 main and I think a 42 pilot.

I have kept the stock exhaust on the bike as the cheap after market system had almost no glasspacking and was simply an echo chamber which massively exceeded legal decibel levels. I will disassemble and rebuild the aftermarket pipe when I get time.
