Americal Superbowl Flypasts
« on: July 24, 2020, 12:45:24 PM »
Yeee-har!

NFL Superbowl flypasts.

You Americans fairly know how to do a fly past. I was trying to describe to a friend a US sports day fly past that I recall. Anyway, a bit of hunting around trying to remember, it turn out it was the Superbowl 2014 in New Jersey.

Helicopters.

In the dark.

Cue Ride of the valkeries......

And finally the clip i was looking for. On-board a Chinook Helicopter.

That's really cool - thanks Snorv!
I always enjoy watching the Bastille Day festivities in Paris.
Horses, bands, marching, planes, boulevards and jumping out over the city!

And then there are these scary dudes who always bring up the rear of the foot parade (marching at 88 paces per min., slower than the normal 115 ppm.) The French Foreign Legion.

Carrying axes....and wearing leather aprons to keep the carnage off their pants?!?!

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.
