Gotta be careful with this method as it doesn’t work with all scoots. My S 200 takes 180ml of gear oil. If you were to fill it until it ran out of the fill hole you’d put significantly more in there. That results in it coming out the vent into the air box and soaking the air filter.  How do I know this? Previous owner of my scoot (who worked at a scooter shop, of all places) filled it this way and my air filter was completely soaked with gear oil when it was delivered to me.

It would be much simpler to allow filling until it ran out of the fill hole...but, oh, well.
I would be curious of the difference by filling this way, then draining and measuring the actual amount .  Compared to the 180ml.  Trying to figure out how it would migrate to the air box as well but not familiar with the S200 and where the air intake is located. Isn't the gear case a sealed unit as well?

I dug through my tubing collection, found one that fit snugly in the filler hole, then one that fit over that tube, then another over the second one so I ended up with the third tubing large enough to jam a funnel into. I set the funnel between the seat and the metal seat surround, pour the correct amount of gear oil in the funnel, walk away for 15-30 minutes, time enough to empty the oil into the rear case.

Air into tires: After trying many gauges and pumps I find the Slime 12 volt pump/gauge (around $22) with the clip-on end the best: you lose almost no air and it combines the pump with the gauge so you only enter the tire valve once to measure pressure and, if needed, add air. If you use a separate gauge and pump that's twice you have to enter the valve. I also found the Slime gauge to be in agreement with a very accurate digital gauge. I have all my bikes wired to handle the current draw of the pump so I can add air on the go if needed, the pump taking little room under the seat.

Kansas Kymco - the gear case is vented into the airbox. There have been a number of threads on this issue over the years..as I believe the service manuals on some scoots contain errors in the quantity of gear oil needed, big surprise. Lots of people are used to filling up until it spills out of the fill hole on cars, etc. but on this particular Kymco that doesn't work. My air filter needed replacing as it had a lot of gear oil on it when i got my scoot due to overfilling...even though .18L is stamped on the CVT cover!
