Strange. My Agility has the stock Carb Jet and air filter. All I have done is replace the boss and cut the CDI and I can get 47mph on a flat. It had dropped down to 42 but I replaced the stock air filter and got new rollers and I'm back up to 48mph!!

verify that with a gps...  my a50 is about 5-7 mph optimistic.

UNI air filter, fully de-restricted, malossi variator and 5.5g weights...

36-38 mph on flats, not too much slowing on smaller hills and 45+ on longer downhills... gps verified.

I have not up-jetted, just slightly opened the stock jet... surely I need a bigger jet but I'm not running too lean.

bbk, torque spring and BIG jet one week away.
Im usually on a bicycle, so for me, this thing is hauling ass!

After restricting my 2009 Agility 50 by cutting the CDI wire, installing the clutch boss drive, and installing a larger main carb jet should I be able to expect my scooter to be able to exceed a true gps speed of 40 mph on a flat road or am I overly optimistic?  My weight is 230 lbs.
this is just one of those things wear you might say size matters.   NOT always true My step son is bigger then me and im 160 and he is 220 and he can keep the scoot going 40 to 45.

"A little extra air in your tyres", yep, my latest 'performance' mod. :)
ZX50, 47mm cyl. kit, TZR50 CDI. Michelin Pilot Sport tyres,
Next performance mod; pumping the tyres up.
