Brit instructor dumps it on ice
« on: December 30, 2020, 05:24:40 PM »

I ride in all kinds of cold, wet and wintry conditions - but not with the road frosted - or likely to be frozen.
It will catch up with you.
Fortunately he was just poking along.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Black ice.  It catches you out when you’re least expecting it as I discovered with my Ninja 900R

When I was young I use to ride my motorcycle on solid ice to school before I got a car, a 1972 Yamaha DT-2 250 Enduro.  My riding buddy had a 1975 Suzuki TS- 185 Enduro. We lived on those bikes year around and rode in all kinds of adverse weather.

Today I don't trust my balance or reaction time enough to try that. Add to the fact my bones are not as forgiving as a young man's.
