hi i am new her i am having problem with my people 250 it has a little over 3000 mile i was riding for about a hour when i lost power  stopped at a light bike shut off turn it back on made it to next light same thing i am hoping some one can help me made it all the way home bike shut off again

Warm out?  Vapor lock. Try riding with the gas cap open. If that fixes it, you owe me a beer.  :)

Check your vacuum hoses.  I know I had a cracked hose and it would not idle at all.

Yes I know what you mean. My People 250 still does it at 50,000 K. I found if I fill the gas tank clear full to the rim it happens. I don't fill it that full and no problem. You didn't say what year you had. Mine is a 2006. Good luck to you.

Mine did this to me too.  Also an '06.  I've read elseware that vacume line routing can make all the difference.  The line that vent's the fuel tank is the likely culprit.  If it is routed over/under something too closely it will kink/collapse when very hot, causing vapor lock.  As was sugested, pop the fuel cap and re start to verify.

I'm going to check out my vac. lines when I take the body off for valve adjustment in a week.
