LiFePO4 have more advantages over lead for deep cycle applications. Higher DOD, longer liesapn, faster charging rate and more continuous current output. The BMS controls charging and allows retrofitting in existing lead acid applications. Only cost and overseas QC makes them less popular.

Talked to my local Kymco dealer about Lithium motorcycle batteries and he stated some new dirt bikes are coming from the fatory with them. He bought a older motorcycle with one installed and was impressed with how long it held a charge while sitting unused. He also stated the bike had zero parasitic draws on the battery. He also stated bikes like my BMW had parasitic draws that was hard on batteries when sitting.  I decided to give the Lithium battery another chance since I had a new one sitting unused.  .
In parts 200S and Grand Vista and my motorcycles 2 CS BMW'S and one GS BMW.

Sold-32 Kymco scooters of various sizes this summer.
