UXV 500 front axle shaft help.
« on: January 02, 2021, 12:35:51 AM »
We have a 2013 UXV 500 and the front passenger side axle shaft pushed out of the differential, after I took it apart it appear there is a retainer ring on the axle shaft that is supposed to keep it from walking out. From the looks of the shaft the race on the axle is worn don somehow and allowed the retainer clip/ring to walk its way to the outside of the shaft.

I am going to purchase a new axle assembly but I am uncertain of how this axle installs back into the differential, does anyone have any experience with this, and any recommendations on where to get a new shaft??

 thanks for the help!!

I dont have any experience on your model but have done numerous other cv shafts. They are normally just pushed into place then held there by that circle clip.  As far as parts go your going to need to do some searching.  Start with a Kymco dealer, but I have saw advertising for aftermarket shafts from other suppliers. While Kymco makes great machines they are not real popular so lots of searching needs to be done.
