Scoot with trailer!
« on: January 22, 2021, 11:36:54 AM »
We head to the grocery store every two weeks to replenish. We expect gas prices to climb drastically very soon so will be dusting off wifes People GTi300 to pull the Harbor Freight trailer. That fiberglass box is big enough to hold everything! 70 miles per gallon is over twice what the car gets.

When driving South on hwy 75 on the bypass around Macon Georgia I seen a Goldwing pulling a single horse trailer with a mule in it. No I did not get any picture's.  But it's something I'll never forget.

Up North I ride to town each morning for coffee. Around lunch time I ride to town to pick up lunch and supper and maybe a few groceries that I put under the seat. Since I'm in town so much no need for large purchases.

Just remember pulling trailer with scooter/motorcycle, not the safest idea-  I have had two motorcycle camping trailers---lighter the better, professional quality hitch---you still can get into "tail waggin the dog" situations.   Bike trailer experience for me about 100,000 miles, stopped when I was ahead.   Germany Mopeds are often used  with trailers to get stuff for apartment dwellers to their garden plots. work ok at the 20mph speeds.
