Checking: brake pads, PSI & 2 old tire patches
« on: April 26, 2021, 06:18:05 PM »
One job I really dislike....
Checking the air in the tires.
Checked both scoots and used the metal tire pen that John recommended.
Doesn't matter what you use, or what type valve stems I have - still an awkward process....to check or fill.
Then checked the 2 mushroom tire plugs I installed after road-side flats due to screws.

Plug in the rear Michelin PowerPure SC on the LIKE200i has been in there a couple of years. Looked good today - no leaking.

Plug in the front Maxxis on the Liberty150i has been in there maybe 18 mos. Looked good as well. No leaking.

While I was down there I took a flash/snap of the LIKE's rear brakes. I may never get to use the spares I bought 9 yrs ago!

Glad that's finished!
Stig

PS: yes, I make darn sure to swap the road-side repair kit to each scooter before heading out. Both carry at least one inflation device.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Used this "string type" plugs with rubber solution some months ago, almost not visible and still airtight. Have to admit, was one of my own construction screws in it...
Fortunately saw it in the garage and could fix it at home in a few minutes.
Happy and safe scootering, Ruffus
