just seen as making my shopping list. the leo vince exhaust comes with clutch springs yello. what rating are these?

streido did you get a set with yours?

from what i've read you wont really need the clutch springs, the yellow ones as far as ive seen have been too hard for peoples clutches and they eventually reverted back to the stock springs.

I got my Leo from another forum member on here who was selling it so i didnt get the springs with it. I already had stiffer springs in my clutch anyway so wouldnt have used them if i had got them.

I have 1500rpm springs in my clutch which are Yellow. Think they were Pollini or Malossi springs but i cant be sure on that, cant remember ??? They are def 1500rpm rated tho for sure and work ok. I tried 2000rpm rated ones which were red but they were a total bitch to fit for me cos they were so stiff so i gave up trying and used 1500rpm ones instead.

Tbh in my stock clutch i didnt feel any real difference at the time after fitting them but i have done a lot more mods since then so i dare say i might feel a difference now if i was to go back to stock springs.

Btw you do not need to use the same rating of clutch springs as your torque spring, just in case you didnt know.  :)

i only travle 3 mile to work but big hill either way and the a 50 goes down from 45 mph to 25 mph spedo. so got to get it sorted. so embarasing when there is a que of trafic behind me.

Well clutch springs wont help that at all, stiffer clutch springs let the rpms raise higher before the clutch engages which helps take off speed from stopped.

For hills you need a stiffer torque spring, single big spring that sits behind the clutch and controls how the rear pulley moves in and out and that is what controls the gearing. The stiffer spring keeps you in a lower gear longer so you have a more torque.

If you fit the stiffer torque and lighter rollers then that will get you up hills better but since its still only a little 4 stroke 50cc you will still drop down in speed on hills.

Im the same as you and have several big hills to and from work but with my set-up i dont drop under 30-33mph when i used to fall down to 20-25mph. If i hit a real steep hill then i will still drop to 25mph but on the stock set-up i would be down at 20mph or prob below.

I like the 1500rpm torque and 5.1g rollers but i have other mods too like the open filter and race variator with a shorter boss etc. Maybe try the 1500 spring and 5.5g or 6g rollers and see how that feels 1st.

I would be amazed if you found your perfect set-up 1st time tho, it took me about 6-12 months of tuning, headscratching, and trial and error to get to where i am now. I cant get it to run any better than it is now unless i go for a 72cc kit which i dont want to do right now cos i plan on giving my son the use of it next yr when he hits 16.

I would do both springs to 1500rpm ones and leave the rollers as they are, take it for a run and see how that feels 1st. You can then go for lighter rollers later if you want. Its always better to do one thing at a time then try it cos if you throw a load of mods at it at once and then try it and it runs sh** you have no idea whats making it so bad. Do one thing at a time and you can soon tell if that one thing works or not. Thats what i did.

I just got the leo vince for my 2020 agility 50. Installed it, sounds great, performs great, etc. One problem. the header pipe/muffler connection is literally right on top of the drain plug. Would anyone out there be willing to take a look at it and give me your thoughts? Is there a fix? Did I do something wrong? Im lost with it, and would love a solution as opposed to dropping the exhaust everytime I need to change the oil. Thanks will post another pic after this post.

Yep - I see your problem.
When you're running even a stock scoot you have to be able to keep an eye on the oil level.
Up, down or out - that set-up needs to be moved.
Bend the pipe at a muffler shop - but what would that do to your frame mounting; use the stock pipe with your new can - get some movement to off-set it more?
You can't be the first to run into this issue with these "Fits everything from a Sears mower to a scooter" aftermarket jobs.
I would look hard at some 50cc forums. These guys are fitting these Leo's to all kinds of 50's. (on a 4T I understand you get more noise which is interpreted as more go - real changes are on the 2 cycle engines)

If you can use the oil dipstick "cap" only as a thread-on cork - and use something else to stick in there to check your oil level....cutting off below the cap. But if you can't even get the cap off - that won't work.

I just remove the  mounting bolt for the can and slip it off.  Very easy once you do it once or twice. If you prefer you can just disconnect the supplied spring (which I happened to trash as you can see..lol) and remove it even easier.
