Hey guys, I hit a milestone in my new life as a scooterist this week, passing 1,000 miles on my 2021 Honda ADV 150. Technically, I haven't ridden quite 1,000 miles yet, as I bought the scoot with 148 miles on it and am only at 1,035 miles on the odometer currently. But, let's not let that technicality stand in the way of a good story. Attached are a couple photos from my ride last evening. That's my church in the background, and a view from the other direction looking out at some surrounding farmland.
So far so good with the scoot; no issues whatsoever. Changed the oil at 600 miles per manual, and it was quite clean, and no visible metal shavings or debris, which was nice to see. When I did the first change on my Kymco UXV 450 side by side there were a couple decent sized shavings and lots of little glittery specks in the first oil change. So, I assume this little Honda engine was pretty darn clean and well fit right out of the factory.
One other quick note on these scoots: I am still seeing lots of posts online from people anxiously awaiting the 2022s to hit dealers nationwide but so far not a one has been seen. So, this model remains a hot ticket and getting your hands on one right now isn't easy. Incidentally, much to Stig's delight, you should note that the 2022 version is available only in Honda red!
